The Lowrey Family

Natalie is not only a fellow photographer but also one of the most genuine, kind, and fun people I know. Every time we get together, it’s guaranteed to be a blast, and over the years she’s truly become a good friend of mine. One of the highlights of my year is getting the honor of photographing her family—it’s such a gift to document their story as it grows and changes.

This year, Natalie wanted to celebrate the end of summer in a way that froze all of their fun, carefree moments together, and I think we nailed it. We kicked things off splashing around in their pool—complete with cute floaties and a cabana-style setup that just screamed “summer.” It was playful, colorful, and so authentically them. I loved capturing the laughter, the splashes, and the way they all leaned into just having fun together.

From there, we shifted into something a little more nostalgic and whimsical. Paper airplanes flew through the air, wildflowers dotted their property, and it all came together to create this dreamy, childlike energy that perfectly encapsulated the joy of family and childhood. It wasn’t just about pretty photos—it was about capturing the feeling of a season they’ll always want to remember.
And of course, we even managed to get her teenage son to sneak in for a few photos too (which every parent knows is a total win!). Those moments felt extra special because they showed the full picture of the family they’ve built together—playful, close, and full of love.
